Storing Your Soft Plastic Lures
Some care is needed when storing your soft plastics, you should try keeping the scented baits in their sealed packaging for as long as possible as they can tend to dry up.
With standard plastic lure range, it is best to keep them stored in clear plastic containers preferabley seperating each colour and style, this will make it alot easier when searching for the lure you need and also making them last alot longer. We have put together a range of the most popular storage devices including the lure wallets, zip lock bags, tackle boxes.
TIP~ Have two Tackle Bags one for Saltwater Soft plastic baits and the other for your Freshwater lures.

Fishing Rod & Reel Setup
When using soft plastic lures your rod and line setup can be very important.
When using plastic baits often their is not enough weight in the bait alone to get you where you need to cast, this where the right rod type will make up for the light tackle.
For light gear a sensative tipped rod is ideal for extra casting power add this with an appropriate reel around the 2000 range and you are set for light gear fishing.
For best result's it is also recommended braded or fireline to spool the reel.
TIP~ To give your baits the best chance of getting hooked why not try adding Fish Attractants & Scents.

Using & Presenting Your Bait
There are many different ways you can rig your soft plastics but getting it right is crucial to the lures action.
Always check that the bait is swimming correctly by dragging it a metre or so through the water in front of you, If the action isn't right redo it till it works.
Cast your bait a few metres and work it back with a few pauses and flicks from the rod tip checking it kicks, flashes, drops and darts giving a l wounded, dying bait fish effect.
TIP~ Scrunched, bent or twisted tails don't swim properly, often spin in the water, causing line twists, this can deter fish from biting.
